Just one day after a major recall for more than 106,000 CR-V Hybrids, Honda is once again issuing a recall — this time for roughly 2.6 million vehicles that involves both its own lineup and its Acura luxury brand. The issue stems from a potentially faulty fuel pump.
The following Acura models and model years are affected:

2017-20 NSX
2018-20 ILX, MDX and MDX Sport Hybrid, RDX, RLX, TLX
And the following Hondas are affected:

2017-20 Accord Hybrid, Pilot
2018-20 Accord, Civic and Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Odyssey, Ridgeline
2018-19 Clarity, Fit
2019-20 Insight, Passport
2020 CR-V Hybrid
According to Honda, the fuel pump impeller was improperly molded, resulting in low-density impellers. Over time, such an impeller can deform and interfere with the fuel pump body, rendering the pump inoperative. That can lead to the engine not starting or stalling while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. Honda did note it has not received any reports of crashes or injuries related to this issue.

Dealers will replace the fuel pump module for free. Honda doesn’t yet have enough replacement parts, but it will begin notifying owners Feb. 5, 2024. Those with further questions in the meantime can call the automaker at 888-234-2138 (Honda’s codes for this recall are KGC and KGD), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number
