2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Orders Open, Prices Changed

The automaker has announced its third set of prices for the 2024 F-150 Lightning in about six months, but these are first ones to really matter because orders for the truck are now open.

Current pricing for the 2024 F-150 Lightning, including $2,095 destination, is as follows.

XLT: $65,090 (-$2,000)
Flash: $70,090 (-$5,500)
Lariat: $79,090 (-$2,500)
Platinum: $87,090 (unchanged)
The XLT is the only trim level fitted with the 240-mile standard-range battery pack. The rest have the extended-range pack, which is good for an estimated 320 miles, according to Ford. With the smaller battery, the electric motors also generate less power, although the XLT’s 452 horsepower and 775 pounds-feet of torque still best any gas-powered F-150 shy of the Raptor R’s supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine. When properly equipped, the XLT can tow up to 7,700 pounds, the Platinum is rated for 8,500, and the Flash and Lariat can handle up to 10,000 pounds. Also standard on the XLT are heated cloth seats and a 12-inch central touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Stepping up to the Flash not only nets the extended-range battery, it also increases output to 580 hp. Torque remains unchanged, at 775 pounds-feet. The Flash also includes Ford’s hands-free BlueCruise semi-autonomous highway driving system, the latest version of which is updated to reposition the vehicle within its lane to allow for more comfortable spacing from adjacent traffic and to automatically change lanes when the driver activates a turn signal. The Flash also includes a heated steering wheel, 15.5-inch touchscreen and eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system.

The F-150 Lightning Lariat is fitted with a twin-panel moonroof, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. Lariat drivers can use their phone as a key to the truck, which also gets upgraded front and rear lighting, a power tailgate and a unique grille.

The Platinum gathers up the remaining luxury features not already included on the Lariat: 22-inch wheels, premium leather seating, a 14-speaker Bang & Olufsen audio system, and a standard 9.6-kilowatt Pro Power Onboard system for powering job- and campsites, or whatever else owners may need to plug in.

New Standard Equipment
New features across the F-150 Lightning lineup for 2024 include a vapor-injection heat pump to more efficiently manage cabin temperature, an updated charging display in the instrument cluster and several towing functions that have been broken out of the optional Tow Technology Package. These features include Smart Hitch and On-Board Scales, which use sensors measuring suspension compression to estimate trailer tongue weight and the weight in the bed, respectively. Pro Trailer Hitch Assist automatically positions the truck with the hitch ball under a trailer’s coupling, while Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Reverse Guidance simplify trailer reversing by allowing the driver to steer using a knob on the dash, as well as the newly standard 360-degree parking camera system’s side cameras to look down the side of the trailer.

Ford may increase prices in the next few months, though it’s just as likely the company will slash prices on the 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning again in the future.
