With Chevrolet having debuted a face-lifted Tahoe and Suburban over the winter, an updated GMC Yukon is next in the pipeline.

The image GMC released shows a headlight that retains the basic shape of the current unit, with LED daytime running lights framing the assembly, but more compact headlights inboard from the daytime running lights. As with the Tahoe, it’s unlikely there is any change to the Yukon’s sheet metal, and without seeing the 2024 and 2025 models side by side, the differences will probably be hard to spot.

Chevy overhauled its big SUVs’ interiors with a massive 17.7-inch touchscreen at the center of the dash. The Yukon will almost certainly receive a similar treatment, and upgraded materials are also likely to create a more luxurious environment.

In the 2025 Tahoe and Suburban, the optional turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six engine is reworked, squeezing out an additional 28 horsepower and 35 pounds-feet of torque, for totals of 305 and 495, respectively. The same improvements appearing in the Yukon is a no-brainer, and the standard 355-hp, 5.3-liter V-8 and available 420-hp, 6.2-liter V-8 should carry over unchanged. A 10-speed automatic should remain the only available transmission, with rear- and four-wheel drive available.
