Entering its third generation with a full redesign for the 2024 model year, the GMC Acadia returns to the full-size philosophy of the original model. Now 3.2 inches taller and with an 8.4-inch longer wheelbase, the 2024 Acadia boasts far greater interior volume and tough new styling.
Where last year’s Acadia offered a choice of a turbocharged four-cylinder or naturally aspirated V-6 engine, the 2024 model is powered exclusively by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Putting out 328 horsepower and 326 pounds-feet of torque, it betters the old V-6 by 18 hp and 55 pounds-feet. An eight-speed automatic is the only transmission available. Front-wheel drive is standard on the Elevation and Denali trim levels, with all-wheel drive a ,000 option; the off-road-oriented AT4 is only offered with all-wheel drive.

The 2024 GMC Acadia is on sale now. Full line pricing, including a $1,395 destination charge, is as follows:

Elevation: $43,995
AT4: $51,395
Denali: $55,695
Trim Levels and Safety Equipment
The base Elevation trim level comes very generously equipped, with standard 20-inch wheels, a power liftgate, keyless entry and starting, and remote start. Inside, you’ll find synthetic leather upholstery, power and heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, three-zone automatic climate control, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15-inch touchscreen with Google Built-In, a 12-speaker Bose audio system and wireless phone charging.

The suite of standard safety technologies is also lengthy. It includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, lane departure steering assist, intersection collision avoidance, blind spot steering assist with bicyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert with pedestrian detection and automatic braking, a 360-degree parking camera, rear parking sensors, road sign recognition and automatic high beams. Automated parking and GM’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving are optional on all trim levels.

The AT4 is more than just an appearance package, with its ride height raised by an inch, an off-road-tuned suspension and a modified AWD system with a torque-vectoring rear axle. The standard Trailering Package includes a heavy-duty cooling system, higher-output alternator and a Class III hitch with a 5,000-pound capacity. It is also an appearance package, of course, with dark-gray 18-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, a unique front end with an integrated skid plate and red tow hooks, and black exterior trim. Inside, the AT4’s seats are wrapped in unique cloth and synthetic leather upholstery and feature AT4-embroidered front head restraints.

At the top of the lineup sits the Denali, which rolls on unique 20-inch wheels and features a unique chrome grille and exterior trim. It, too, includes the Trailering Package as standard, as well as real leather, one-touch power flat-folding second-row seats, heated and ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, a heated windshield wiper park and rain-sensing wipers. The Denali also includes an acoustic-glass windshield and a head-up display.
