Volvo’s electric-vehicle subsidiary Polestar has announced a special offer that temporarily drops the lease price on the 2024 Polestar 2 electric hatchback to just $299 per month for 27 months.

The deal applies to dual-motor variants and runs now through the end of May.

That $299 monthly payment applies to base dual-motor Polestar 2s with no options or packages added; such a vehicle has a list price of $56,700 (including $1,400 destination). As leased vehicles must be drawn from existing dealer stock — and options can push the 2 above ,000 — your price may vary. The deal requires $3,000 down and the first month’s payment. It is available only to qualified lessees and includes 10,000 miles per year, which works out to 22,500 miles over the 27 months of the lease.

The 2024 Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor draws juice from a 78-kilowatt-hour battery pack. The front and rear electric motors grant the vehicle AWD and generate a total of 421 horsepower and 546 pounds-feet of torque. Polestar claims it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of 127 mph. The dual-motor 2 has an EPA-rated range of up to 276 miles on a full battery and can charge from 10% to 80% in 34 minutes on a DC fast charger.
