Introduction to the 2025 Honda Odyssey
The current-generation Honda Odyssey, a segment leader in the minivan category, enters its eighth year for 2025. This year, Honda has opted for a mid-cycle face-lift rather than a full redesign. This refresh includes subtle but impactful changes such as a new grille, updated front and rear styling, and significant tech upgrades.
Refreshed Looks and Tech
The 2025 Odyssey’s new look is most noticeable at the rear, where the design incorporates a downward-sloping crease below the rear window, similar to the discontinued Acura NSX. New wheel designs and two new color options set it apart from previous models. Inside, the focus is on screens: a 7-inch instrument-panel display and a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen with a faster processor are now standard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as wireless charging, are standard features. The available rear entertainment system’s screen has also been enlarged from 10.2 inches to 12.8 inches.
Powertrain and Performance
The powertrain remains unchanged for 2025. The Odyssey still features a 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard. Unfortunately for those seeking all-wheel drive, options like the Toyota Sienna or an SUV would be more suitable. EPA fuel economy ratings remain consistent with the 2024 model: 19/28/22 mpg city/highway/combined.
Availability and Pricing
The 2025 Honda Odyssey will be available starting July 23. Pricing, including a $1,395 destination fee, is as follows: EX-L at $43,315, Sport-L at $44,465, Touring at $48,005, and Elite at $52,275.
Safety Features and Trim Levels
All 2025 Odyssey models come equipped with the Honda Sensing suite, which includes a range of safety features such as forward collision warning, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and more. The EX-L trim includes additional features like 18-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights and taillights, a moonroof, and leather upholstery. The Sport-L adds black 19-inch wheels and red interior stitching. The Touring trim offers a rear entertainment system and navigation, while the Elite trim includes two-tone leather seating and an 11-speaker sound system.
