A New Generation of Supercar

The sales of the all-new 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT have just begun, with models like the GT43 and GT63 S E Performance eagerly awaited at dealerships. However, Mercedes-AMG is already stoking anticipation for its next-generation supercar with the announcement of the GT63 Pro 4Matic. This track-focused variant promises to deliver a more intense driving experience and superior track performance.

Performance Enhancements

The GT63 Pro 4Matic is powered by the same twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine found in the regular GT63, but it has been tweaked to generate 26 more horsepower and 37 additional pounds-feet of torque. This brings the totals to an impressive 603 horsepower and 627 pounds-feet of torque. Despite these enhancements, Mercedes claims the GT63 Pro maintains the same 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds. The focus, instead, is on providing a more intense and controlled driving experience.

Advanced Cooling and Aerodynamics

To achieve this, AMG has enhanced the GT63’s cooling package with additional outboard radiators in the nose. Electric pumps circulate coolant through these radiators to cool the all-wheel-drive coupe’s front and rear differentials, as well as the transfer case. Additional revisions include larger outboard air intakes and air deflectors to accelerate airflow underneath the car, improving aerodynamic performance. The AMG carbon-ceramic brake setup, which is optional on the non-Pro GT63, is standard on the Pro variant.

Distinctive Features and Pricing

The GT63 Pro 4Matic also features the AMG exterior carbon fiber package as standard, including a front splitter, rocker-panel trim, rear diffuser, and rear wing in exposed carbon fiber. Unique matte-gray 21-inch wheels that wear Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires are another distinctive feature. Inside, the Pro variant comes with AMG performance seats and a steering wheel.

Set to go on sale in 2025, the GT63 Pro 4Matic is expected to be priced around 0,000. With the 2024 GT55 and GT63 priced at 6,050 and 7,050 respectively, the Pro variant justifies its premium with its array of enhancements and track-focused features.
