Introduction to the 2025 Nissan Frontier

As Nissan gears up to launch the refreshed 2025 Frontier, the mid-size pickup truck is set to make a significant impact in the automotive market. The previous generation had been criticized for staying too long in showrooms without substantial updates, but the 2025 model year brings meaningful improvements in terms of safety, tech, and interior features. Available in dealerships by late summer 2024, this update aims to keep the Frontier fresh and competitive.

Stylish New Exterior and Enhanced Capability

The 2025 Frontier showcases new front-end styling that gives it a modern and robust look. For the Pro-X and Pro-4X trims, new tailgate trim and a 17-inch wheel design standard on the SV have been introduced. Another notable update is the expanded availability of the long-wheelbase crew-cab configuration. Buyers can now pair a full-size backseat with a 6-foot bed in Pro-4X and SL grades, providing more flexibility. Additionally, towing capacities have increased by approximately 500 pounds across all trims, reaching a maximum of 7,150 pounds.

Unchanged Powertrain, Improved Driving Experience

The powertrain remains the same, featuring a 3.8-liter V-6 engine that generates 310 horsepower and 281 pounds-feet of torque. This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission, offering the choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. These specifications, combined with the updated safety and tech features, contribute to a significantly improved driving experience.

Advanced Interior and Cutting-Edge Technology

The interior of the 2025 Frontier has undergone substantial updates. A redesigned dashboard and telescoping steering wheel are now standard across all trims. The Pro-X and SL trims come with a four-way power passenger seat, while SV and higher trims feature a power driver’s seat with two-way adjustable lumbar support. A 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now standard on SV and above. The SL trim includes additional features such as a power-adjustable passenger seat, 360-degree parking camera, and wireless phone charging as standard.

Reinforced Safety Features

The 2025 Frontier’s safety technology has been enhanced significantly. Standard features now include lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. Furthermore, the range-topping SL trim adds road-sign recognition to ensure maximum safety for passengers.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Nissan Frontier will hit dealerships in late summer 2024, with pricing details to be announced closer to the start of sales. These updates position the Frontier as a robust candidate in the mid-size pickup truck market, combining modern style, enhanced capability, and cutting-edge technology.
