Introduction to the 2025 Cadillac Optiq

The 2025 Cadillac Optiq EV SUV is set to make waves in the electric vehicle market with its standard all-wheel drive (AWD) and a starting price of $54,390. As a smaller sibling to the Cadillac Lyriq, this compact SUV shares its electric architecture with other models, enhancing its appeal in the luxury EV segment.

Trims and Pricing Structure

Cadillac offers the Optiq in two trim levels: Luxury and Sport. Each trim has two variants, providing potential buyers with flexibility in their selections. The Optiq Luxury 1 begins at ,390, while the Luxury 2 model is priced at ,590. The Sport version is slightly higher, starting at $54,990 for the Sport 1 and reaching $57,090 for the Sport 2 trim. This tiered approach allows Cadillac to cater to a range of consumer preferences and budgets.

Performance and Features

Every Optiq is equipped with a robust dual-motor setup, generating a combined output of 300 horsepower and 354 pound-feet of torque. Coupled with an 85.0-kWh battery, this structure provides an impressive estimated range of approximately 300 miles on a single charge. Additionally, the 2025 Cadillac Optiq features a 400-volt electrical architecture, enabling rapid charging capabilities. The 150-kW maximum DC fast charging rate allows drivers to gain up to 79 miles of range in just 10 minutes, ensuring convenience and efficiency.

As part of the federal tax credit program, although the Optiq is not yet listed with the EPA, Cadillac has confirmed it will be eligible for the full $7,500 credit upon sale. This will effectively lower the vehicle’s base price to below ,000, making it a compelling choice for consumers looking for a luxury EV option.
