Introduction to Faraday Future’s FF 91

Seven years after its debut at CES, Faraday Future has finally begun the delivery of its flagship electric SUV, the FF 91. The first unit was delivered in August 2023, marking a significant milestone for the company. Since then, Faraday Future has continued to roll out vehicles, though questions arise regarding the nature of these transactions.

Understanding Unique Ownership

The owners of the FF 91 are designated as “developer co-creation officers”—a title that adds an intriguing touch to their status. Among these owners are several B-list celebrities, with the most recent addition being a model and social media influencer who received her FF 91 in December 2024. However, it remains unclear whether these owners are actually purchasing their vehicles. The promotional aspect of these deliveries cannot be overlooked, especially considering the use of standard license plates during events like Monterey Car Week.

Future Developments: Introducing the FX

Looking ahead, Faraday Future is preparing to launch its next vehicle, the Faraday FX. The company has announced that the first two prototypes are set to arrive in Los Angeles by the end of December, with testing occurring at their factory in Hanford, California. Faraday Future claims that the FX will offer “twice the performance at half the price” of the FF 91, which typically costs around $300,000. Prototypes of the FX will also be showcased in Las Vegas in January during CES 2025, indicating the company’s commitment to innovation and promotion within the competitive EV market.
