2025 Buick Encore GX, Priced From $27,295

For 2025, the Encore GX’s pricing is up just $400 from the 2024 model’s numbers for the base and Sport Touring trims, while the range-topping Avenir is actually $400 cheaper.

The 2025 Buick Encore GX is on sale now. Line pricing (including $1,295 destination) is as follows:
Preferred: $27,295
Sport Touring: $28,495
Avenir: $32,795

The entry-level Preferred trim is the only 2025 Encore GX available with a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine; the Sport Touring, Avenir and all-wheel-drive versions get a turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder. The 1.2-liter puts out 137 horsepower and 162 pounds-feet of torque, while the 1.3 bumps output to 155 hp and 174 pounds-feet.

Front-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission are standard on every trim level. AWD swaps the CVT for a nine-speed automatic and costs an additional $1,600 on the Sport Touring and Avenir, or $1,605 on the Preferred. With FWD and the 1.2-liter engine, the Preferred returns an EPA-rated 30/31/30 mpg city/highway/combined. FWD Encore GXs with the 1.3-liter are rated at 29/31/30, and all-wheel drivers get 26/28/27 mpg.

The 2025 Encore GX’s Preferred trim level starts buyers out with 18-inch wheels, LED front lighting, heated side mirrors, keyless entry and start, and remote start. Inside, there’s an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, active noise cancellation, an 11-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a six-speaker audio system.

Buick’s Driver Confidence suite of advanced driver-assist technologies is standard on the Encore GX and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and steering assist, a following distance indicator and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert and a rear-seat reminder are not included with the package but are also standard.

The Sport Touring (which Buick sometimes abbreviates ST) gets the turbocharged 1.3-liter, as well as a more aggressive look thanks to gloss-black finishes on the 18-inch wheels, grille and front end. It also features roof rails, LED taillights, an auxiliary electric heater (to provide cabin heat before the engine has warmed up) and synthetic leather upholstery.

Avenir is Buick’s most luxurious trim. On the Encore GX, the Avenir includes 19-inch Pearl Nickel wheels, unique front and rear styling, a dark-chrome grille and clear-lens LED taillights. Inside, it boasts leather upholstery, power-adjustable heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and dual-zone climate control.
