Introduction to the 2025 Lexus RX

The 2025 Lexus RX maintains its position as a top contender in the mid-size SUV market with the addition of standard equipment and two new design packages. This popular model gains a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while holding onto its core strengths. This blog covers all that’s new and noteworthy about the latest RX.

New Design Packages

The Black Line Special Edition, exclusive to the RX 500h, is perhaps the most visually striking update. This version comes in a unique shade of gray known as Incognito, with black mirrors, exterior trim, black 21-inch wheels, and orange brake calipers. Lexus plans to produce only 500 of these models. For a broader audience, there’s the new F Sport Design trim level for the RX 350 and RX 350h. This option offers black front and rear fascias, grille, and 21-inch wheels, accented with black open-pore wood trim inside.

Powertrain Options and Performance

The 2025 Lexus RX offers several powertrain options to meet diverse driver needs. The base RX 350 features a 275-horsepower, turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering expected fuel efficiency of 22/29/25 mpg for front-wheel drive and 21/28/24 mpg for all-wheel drive. The RX 350h hybrid records a Lexus-estimated 37/34/36 mpg. The RX 500h offers enhanced performance with a turbo 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and hybrid assistance for a combined 366 hp and expected fuel economy of 27/28/27 mpg. At the top, the plug-in hybrid RX 450h offers 304 hp and an estimated 36/33/35 mpg in hybrid mode, with a 35-mile electric-only range.

Availability and Pricing

Set to hit the market later in 2024, the pricing for the 2025 Lexus RX is expected to remain stable compared to 2024 figures. The range is anticipated to start at $49,950 for the RX 350 and go up to $70,580 for the RX 450h. The new features and design packages add further appeal to this already popular model.
