Production Resumption of the ID.4

Volkswagen has officially resumed production of the 2025 ID.4, following a temporary halt in September due to an issue with door handles that posed safety concerns. The production plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is now operational and focusing on delivering the ID.4 models equipped with the new, larger 82-kilowatt-hour battery pack. This enhanced variant is classified as the Pro trim.

Pricing and Availability

The starting price for the 2025 ID.4 Pro is set at ,520, with deliveries expected to begin shortly. The entire pricing structure, inclusive of a $1,425 destination fee, comprises the following: Pro: $46,520; Pro S: $51,620; and Pro S Plus: $58,720. Currently, Volkswagen is exclusively producing models with the larger battery pack, while the 62-kilowatt-hour version will return later in 2025, along with additional features across all trims.

Advanced Safety Features and Specifications

Noteworthy in the competitive electric SUV market, the 2025 ID.4 boasts a comprehensive safety suite as standard, which includes forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. The Pro models exhibit a well-rounded range of features offering 19-inch wheels, LED lighting, and a sophisticated interior equipped with a 12.9-inch touchscreen. The enhanced Pro S trim further adds luxury elements such as ventilated seats and an upgraded ambient lighting system, enhancing the driving experience.
