Afternoon Session Highlights

Lando Norris showcased his speed and skill during the afternoon session of the 2025 Formula 1 pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit. With a remarkable lap time of 1:30.430s, Norris concluded the day as the fastest driver, completing 52 laps. His performance positions him as a strong contender for the upcoming season’s championship title.

Power Cut Disrupts Testing

The session was briefly interrupted by a power cut that darkened the circuit around the halfway mark. After approximately 30 minutes, the issue was resolved, allowing the drivers to return to the track. Before the delay, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc led the timing sheets, which added a layer of intrigue to the proceedings.

Close Competition Among Top Drivers

Following Norris was Mercedes’ George Russell, who finished second with a time just 0.157s behind. Defending world champion Max Verstappen matched his effort with a respectable third place at 1:30.674s after an impressive 74 laps. Leclerc, despite the delay, managed to secure fourth place with a time of 1:30.878s.

Carlos Sainz, in his first public F1 display for Williams, claimed fifth with a time of 1:30.955s, while Pierre Gasly followed closely in sixth. The competition remains fierce as other notable drivers like Liam Lawson and Alex Albon also delivered commendable performances. Each lap adds to the narrative as teams gear up for the exhilarating season ahead.
