Rivian, a prominent player in the electric vehicle market, has recently launched its California Dune Edition, aimed at enthusiasts who yearn for an adventurous ride. This limited-edition variant is available for both the R1S SUV and the R1T pickup truck, featuring a striking sandy paint and a range of attractive accessories. The California Dune Edition combines aesthetic appeal with practicality, making it a desirable choice for those eager to explore off-road terrains.

Unique Features of the California Dune Edition

The defining characteristic of the California Dune Edition is its soothing beige color that mirrors the sandy landscapes of California. Buyers can further customize their ride with new 20-inch rally-style wheels, available in matching or dark gray finishes. This edition also comes equipped with reinforced underbody protection, a full-size spare tire, and a utility panel showcasing an onboard air compressor. Additionally, it includes Maxtrax recovery boards for enhanced traction during off-road adventures, attached to dark crossbars on the R1S or across the bed of the R1T.

Performance and Pricing

Performance-wise, the California Dune Edition is powered by a robust tri-motor system that delivers an impressive 850 horsepower and 1,103 pounds-feet of torque. This enables the Rivian vehicles to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds. With the standard max pack battery, the estimated driving range reaches up to 329 miles, perfect for tackling long journeys. Remarkably, Rivian is offering this limited variant at no additional cost, starting at $101,700 for the R1T and $107,700 for the R1S, making it an attractive proposition for buyers.
