Introduction to the New Charging Access

Starting in June 2025, owners of the Honda Prologue and Acura ZDX will gain significant access to an extensive network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Honda is introducing a new approved adapter that will allow these owners to utilize over 20,000 Tesla Superchargers located across the United States.

Details of the Charging Adapter

The new charging adapter, known as the Honda-approved NACS-CCS DC fast-charging adapter, will be made available through authorized Honda and Acura dealerships. Although pricing details remain undisclosed, the adapter has undergone rigorous testing to ensure safety and compatibility with both model types. It is advised that owners refrain from using unapproved adapters, as this could potentially lead to damage that won’t be covered under warranty.

Access and Notifications

To keep customers informed, Honda will notify owners through the HondaLink and Acura EV apps when the adapters are ready for purchase. These apps will also feature important location information, helping users find nearby compatible Supercharger stations. This initiative not only enhances the convenience for Honda and Acura electric vehicle users but also complements existing partnerships with EVgo, Electrify America, and the newly introduced Ionna charging network. Honda aims to broaden its fast-charging infrastructure, striving for access to 100,000 DC fast-charging points across North America by 2030.
