Yuki Tsunoda’s Perspective

As the 2025 Formula 1 season approaches, Yuki Tsunoda has acknowledged that Racing Bulls finds itself in a less favorable position compared to the previous year. Despite earlier successes, the team has struggled to build upon the momentum gained during the late stages of the 2023 season.

The Challenge of Upgrades

The team from Faenza once appeared to be on the rise, earning a reputation as a competitive force among a closely matched midfield. However, attempts to catch up with Aston Martin proved to be more complex than anticipated. Racing Bulls introduced an upgrade package during the Spanish Grand Prix, but this initiative led to a series of unexpected complications which hampered their performance.

Analyzing Points Distribution

In the first nine races of the previous season, Racing Bulls demonstrated promising results, amassing a total of 28 points. However, the latter part of the season saw a stark decrease in performance, accumulating only six points over the subsequent nine events. The decision to revert to older components reflected a need to regain competitiveness, but it resulted in a noticeable drop in their performance level.

As the team gears up for the upcoming season, it remains to be seen how they will address these challenges and improve upon their current standing. Tsunoda’s insights signify a need for strategic adjustments if Racing Bulls hopes to reclaim its position within the competitive field of Formula 1.
