Overcoming Challenges

This announcement comes on the heels of some uncertainty in the off-road racing sphere. Previous promoter, WESS Promotion, had to bow out amid financial struggles and the loss of a significant sponsor, KTM. Nevertheless, the FIM is optimistic, heralding ProTouchGlobal’s involvement as a pivotal moment for elevating the HEWC. Managing director, Robbie Hunter, expressed his excitement, stating, “We’re honoured to take the reins of such a prestigious and adrenaline-charged championship.” This emphasis on respect for the sport’s roots is crucial and resonates well with fans.

What’s Next for the Championship?

With the new management comes a slew of new initiatives aimed at raising the series’ profile and ensuring longevity. ProTouchGlobal aims to not only streamline event coordination but also foster robust commercial partnerships and improved fan engagement. Already in discussions with riders and teams, the groundwork for an invigorating series appears promising. Looking ahead, the provisional 2025 calendar reveals an exciting array of venues from Wales to the USA, Romania, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Germany, and Lesotho. Events like the Red Bull Romaniacs bring an extra layer of excitement, even as some rounds await final agreements. As FIM Enduro Commission Director John Collins noted, “Exciting times are ahead!” Prepare yourselves for an unbridled display of grit, endurance, and thrilling competition.”
