The Debut at the 2025 Carta Rally

Yamaha’s latest masterpiece, the Ténéré 700 Rally GYTR, has officially broken cover at the 2025 Carta Rally in Morocco. This year marks a significant entry for the firm’s factory-backed rally team into this extraordinary seven-day challenge, showcasing their advance in motorcycling technology.

A Race-Bred Evolution

Based on the acclaimed T7 Rally, the GYTR model boasts a myriad of enhancements aimed at elevating the adventure riding experience. These modifications delve deep into Yamaha’s Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing component catalogue, supplying the bike with premium performance parts. Riders can also access these parts for their own machines, making the spirit of competition more accessible.

The Power Under the Hood

At the heart of the Ténéré 700 Rally GYTR lies the robust 689cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, a staple in various Yamaha models like the MT-07 and R7. However, advancements in the intake and exhaust systems significantly boost the power output. With a new full Akrapovič exhaust system complete with titanium headers, enthusiasts can expect a loud roar that matches the bike’s rally-ready capabilities.

Chassis upgrades such as KYB closed-cartridge forks and a Paioli shock absorber enhance ride-quality and handling, while the single disc setup, featuring high-performance components, ensures top-notch braking. With its combination of tech updates and components engineered for endurance, the Yamaha Ténéré 700 Rally GYTR is ready for anything the Sahara throws its way.
