Amazon Autos Makes Leasing Seamless

The American e-commerce giant, Amazon, has taken a significant leap forward in the automotive sector by adding an online leasing option for new cars through its Amazon Autos platform. Previously, car shoppers were limited to financing options or cash payments via online deposits. However, the latest enhancement of Amazon Autos now allows consumers to lease a Hyundai vehicle directly from the comfort of their homes, streamlining the entire process.

Hyundai: The Exclusive Leasing Partner

At present, leasing via Amazon Autos is exclusive to Hyundai, marking a significant moment for those eager to get behind the wheel of a new Hyundai electric vehicle such as the Kona, Ioniq 5, or Ioniq 6. This partnership aligns perfectly with the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) while circumventing the often burdensome traditional dealership experience. Plus, eligible customers can enjoy the added perk of the ,500 federal tax credit for EVs when they lease through the Amazon platform!

The Future of Amazon’s Automotive Marketplace

According to Fan Jin, director of Amazon Autos, this strategic move aims to bolster profitability for dealers while enhancing customer service. As they closely monitor the feedback, there’s a clear intent to branch out—potentially welcoming more lenders and credit unions in future updates. Jin also teased various improvements, including better service and protection product offerings, indicating a promising evolution of the platform, which debuted as a closed pilot last year and ventured into a public beta recently.
