The Tesla Cybertruck Finally Arrives

The anticipation surrounding the Tesla Cybertruck has reached a peak as the rear-drive base variant is now available for purchase. Priced at $71,985, this long-range model marks a significant increase from its initially proposed price of under $40,000. With its latest price adjustment, Tesla continues to redefine the electric vehicle market.

Performance Specs of the Cybertruck Long Range

One of the key attributes of the rear-drive Cybertruck is its impressive performance. Tesla estimates the long-range variant will achieve a remarkable range of 350 miles, increasing to 362 miles with the optional soft tonneau cover, which enhances its aerodynamics. This model outperforms its all-wheel-drive counterparts, offering an extended range and quicker acceleration, going from 0 to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds, compared to 4.1 seconds for the AWD truck and a staggering 2.6 seconds for the Cyberbeast.

Features of the Cybertruck Long Range

When considering features, it’s important to note that while the long-range version is priced lower than the AWD models, it does forfeit some high-end amenities. Notable differences include the absence of height-adjustable suspension, premium interior materials, and a more advanced sound system. However, it still offers impressive functionality, such as heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a user-friendly 18.5-inch touchscreen display. The vehicle also includes essential safety features like forward collision warning and lane-departure prevention.
