Authorities recently arrested four individuals, including a former Ford employee, for allegedly participating in a theft ring that pilfered millions of dollars worth of parts directly from various Ford assembly lines. This operation reportedly lasted over two years, with stolen items being sold at third-party auto shops and online platforms like eBay.

The investigation, which was a collaborative effort between the Dearborn Police Department and Ford Motor Company’s global security division, culminated in multiple arrests on May 6. Police Chief Issa Shahin emphasized the seriousness of the situation, revealing that the stolen parts were taken from the renowned Dearborn, Flat Rock, and Wayne manufacturing plants, known for producing iconic models like the F-150 and Mustang.

According to police reports, a search warrant executed at one of the suspected auto shops in Detroit revealed an astonishing accumulation of stolen auto parts.
