Engine Innovations and Fuel Efficiency

The most notable change in the new model year is the addition of the engine stop/start system, which helps maximize fuel efficiency by halting the engine at a standstill and restarting it instantly when you pull away. This technology makes the CB125F the first manual Honda motorcycle to incorporate an idling stop system. With this enhancement, Honda claims the CB125F can now achieve an impressive 188.4 mpg, translating into over 453 miles with its 11-litre fuel tank. For perspective, this efficiency allows you to travel from London to Leeds and back on just £13 of fuel, with a generous range to spare.

Design and Features

Beyond its remarkable fuel efficiency, the styling of the CB125F has also received a substantial update. Sharp bodywork and new LED lights elevate its aesthetic, while the addition of a 4.2-inch colour TFT display provides a modern touch with features like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and USB-C phone charging. The bike maintains its simple yet effective chassis with a steel frame and 18-inch wheels, complemented by low-rolling resistance tyres.

In essence, Honda has skillfully blended economy, practicality, and modern technology in the new CB125F, ensuring it remains a top contender in the commuter bike market. With its innovative features and stylish design, it’s destined to continue serving riders well into the future.
