Crafting a Masterpiece in Just Two Weeks

In an impressive display of skill and ingenuity, the team at Thornton Hundred transformed the Stark Varg into a 1995 CR500 lookalike in just two weeks. The inception of this project came after their successful appearance at the Malle Beach Race the previous year with a bobber. Desiring to achieve even greater heights, they embarked on this ambitious project aimed at enhancing the electric-powered bike‘s performance.

Innovation Meets Aesthetics

The heart of this electric dirt bike boasts 80bhp, requiring thoughtful adjustments to accommodate the unique demands of beach racing. With 3D scanning technology assisting, axle extenders were fabricated to ensure stability and control. Furthermore, a specialty ten-scoop paddle tire, custom-built from California, affords the bike the traction it needs to blaze through sand.

Visually, the build embraced the classic CR500 aesthetic with a curated set of replica bodywork, cleverly adapted to fit Stark’s frame. Each aspect of the bike, from the bespoke radiator cover to a unique graphics kit that substitutes the ‘CR’ logo for a Thornton-branded ‘TH’, encapsulates a dedication to preserving the spirit of the erstwhile champion. Adding to its allure is a dummy fuel tank that ingeniously serves as a charging port cover. This electric marvel is not merely a bike; it’s a blend of homage and innovation.
