A Journey of Dedication

Riders are required to use motorcycles purchased for £600 or less, making the challenge not only unique but also accessible. Participants poured their hearts into fundraising leading up to the event, contributing to a remarkable sum nearing £650,000 accumulated for various charitable causes since the challenge’s inception. Organizer John McAvoy expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s incredible and humbling to witness such dedication. The support extends beyond the riders to a core group of volunteers who manage pit stops and help the event run smoothly.”

A Personal Touch on the Ride

Among the passionate participants this year was former Isle of Man TT racer, Dave Hewson, who customized his £600 Honda CB500 for comfort and performance. His approach highlights the camaraderie and personal investment of riders in this charitable effort, as he raised an impressive £17,503.50. Each participant, like Hewson, exemplifies the spirit of the challenge—creating a memorable experience while contributing to an essential cause.
