Introduction to the SM450 Urban Guerrilla

The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has undergone a remarkable transformation into the vibrant SM450 Urban Guerrilla. This custom supermoto embodies the spirit of youth culture from the 1990s, making it not just a motorcycle but a statement piece. Created in collaboration with renowned illustrator Ryan Roadkill and Sticky’s Speed Shop, the SM450 is currently making waves at various motorcycling events throughout the summer.

Power and Design Features

Inspired by the original A2 licence-compliant roadster released for 2024, the SM450 features a unique 452cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine is a powerful variant also found in Enfield’s adventure bike, the Himalayan 450. The motor has been artistically blacked-out, contrasting beautifully with the bike’s striking white frame and pink accentuated Royal Enfield logo. Notable modifications include a new intake system, a Jenvey throttle body, and a high-exit exhaust viewable behind the right-side number board, reminiscent of classic ’90s supermotos.

Chassis Enhancements and Upcoming Exhibitions

The SM450 Urban Guerrilla offers more than just a visual feast; it has also been meticulously designed for performance. The custom build showcases a bespoke aluminum fuel tank manufactured by Coba Valley Cycles, fitting snugly in front of an ergonomically shaped seat. Its debut at the Bike Shed Moto Show in London set the stage for upcoming appearances at events like Wheels and Waves in Biarritz and the Malle Mile at Grimsthorpe Castle. With additional modifications, such as a new Öhlins shock and a bespoke swingarm from Steelheart Engineering, the transition from the traditional rear suspension to a 1987 Yamaha YZ125 subframe highlights this bike’s innovative engineering.
