The Elexio: Hyundai’s Latest Electric SUV
Hyundai is stepping up its game in the electric vehicle market with the launch of the Elexio, a powerful electric SUV designed specifically for the Chinese market. Officially unveiled in May, the Elexio is poised to compete against leading players like BYD, showcasing advanced technology and a sleek design that caters to local preferences.

A Glimpse Inside the Elexio
For the first time, Hyundai has revealed the Elexio’s interior, which emphasizes a tech-oriented and minimalist design. At the center of the cabin is an impressive 27-inch ultra-thin infotainment and passenger display, flanked by a smaller driver display. The interior is optimized for usability, featuring 29 storage spaces and dual wireless charging pads, making it as practical as it is stylish.

Performance and Features of the Elexio
The Elexio is built on the E-GMP platform, the same base powering many Hyundai and Kia EVs. It boasts an impressive driving range of up to 435 miles (700 km) on a single charge and can recharge from 30% to 80% in just 27 minutes. Available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive options, the Elexio’s single-motor variant is driven by a 160 kW front motor, while the AWD version adds a 73 kW rear motor for a total output of 233 kW. Hyundai sees the Elexio’s launch as crucial for establishing a stronger foothold in China.
As the launch approaches in the third quarter, Hyundai is positioning the Elexio to not just meet, but exceed the expectations of the high-end electric SUV segment. Stay tuned for further updates on pricing and availability!
