According to a recent test, the Ioniq 9 managed to charge from 10-80% in under 24 minutes. This impressive feat aligns with the manufacturer’s claims of enhanced charging speed, backed by a peak charging rate of 243 kilowatts.
Understanding Charging Compatibility and Performance
One notable aspect of the Ioniq 9 is its use of a Tesla-style North American Charging System (NACS) port. This feature provides native access to Tesla Supercharger stations. However, it does come with a caveat: charging times may be longer on Tesla chargers due to the Ioniq 9’s unique 800-volt architecture.
