Introduction to DreamDrive Pro

In 2021, Lucid Motors launched its first advanced driver assistance system, DreamDrive Pro, in the Lucid Air. This innovative technology has since evolved, gaining new features that enhance the driving experience. Recently, a software update introduced hands-free driving and lane-change capabilities, making driving both safer and easier.

A Glimpse into the Future

Lucid has expressed its ambition to offer Level 4 autonomous electric vehicles (EVs), making groundbreaking progress in the world of automotive technology. Their partnership with NVIDIA aims to integrate NVIDIA’s DRIVE AV into upcoming midsize EV models, which promises to unlock myriad advanced features. Using two NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor computers will enable a unified and streamlined approach to automated driving functions.

With eyes-on, point-to-point driving initially planned for the Gravity SUV, Lucid aims to deliver consumer-owned vehicles that allow for true hands-off, eyes-off, and mind-off driving in their midsize lineup next year. All signs point to an exciting new era of software-driven manufacturing, with Lucid’s upcoming models expected to start at around ,000. An intriguing crossover SUV, along with other rugged variants and possibly a midsize sedan, will compete head-to-head with iconic rivals like the Tesla Model 3.
