Introducing ZXMoto’s Retro-Inspired 500F

Hold onto your helmets, folks! The UK bike market is about to get a jolt of Chinese innovation, thanks to ZXMoto’s entry with their flashy 500F. This retro-inspired machine doesn’t just turn heads, it potentially turns the biking scene upside down. With a liquid-cooled 470cc inline-four motor producing a potent 72.4bhp at 11,000rpm, the 500F promises power and performance that would make even the sleekest ’80s superbikes jealous.

A Nod to the Classics

This naked roadster tips the scales at a featherlight 175kg when fully fueled, making it reminiscent of the classic Universal Japanese Motorcycle (UJM) vibe. Sporting a silhouette that’s a lovely blend of nostalgia and modern flair, you’d be forgiven for mistaking it for Honda’s CB1000F. It’s almost like ZXMoto took a time machine back to the ’80s, summoned their favorite bikes, and said, “Let’s make this appealing again!”

Competitive Edge in the Market

But what about competition? With Honda’s recent unveiling of their own half-litre concept, the CB500SF, ZXMoto might be in for a wild ride. While the CB500SF packs a punch with advanced features, it won’t hit UK roads, leaving ZXMoto’s 500F with an open runway. Priced to intrigue, the 500F could undercut key competitors like Kawasaki’s Z650RS and Yamaha’s XSR700 by a nice margin. So, market observers, keep your eyes peeled for this underdog, as it may just sweep you off your feet!
