Introducing the DC Fast Charging Hub
Exciting news for electric vehicle enthusiasts! Mercedes-Benz and Starbucks have partnered to launch their first DC fast charging hub, conveniently located off the I-5 in Red Bluff, California. This collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing EV charging infrastructure along one of the longest interstate highways on the West Coast.

Lightning-Fast Charging Times
The newly installed Mercedes-Benz high-power chargers boast an impressive 400 kW capacity, allowing EV users to recharge their vehicles quickly—up to 300 miles in just 10 minutes depending on the vehicle model. Each charging stall is equipped with both NACS and CCS cables, making them fully accessible for various electric vehicles. This commitment to versatile and rapid charging solutions is a game changer for road trippers and daily commuters alike.
Future Expansion Plans
Mercedes-Benz HPC North America, in a joint venture with MN8 Energy, is set to revolutionize EV charging by installing fast chargers at 100 Starbucks locations across the United States. This ambitious initiative, first announced in July 2024, aims to enhance convenience for EV owners as they travel. Since launching the first site at Mercedes-Benz USA’s headquarters in Sandy Springs, Georgia, in late 2023, they have already deployed over 150 operational fast chargers across the country.
As Andrew Cornelia steps down as CEO of Mercedes-Benz HPC North America, the future of this innovative charging network looks promising. With plans for expansion and increased accessibility, this partnership is sure to electrify the journey ahead!
