When Others Stall, Volvo Trucks Accelerates

While other semi truck brands sneakily hide delays behind glorified press releases and digital smoke screens, Volvo Trucks emerges as the unapologetic titan of heavy-duty electric vehicles (EVs). It’s not just about hopping on the EV bandwagon; it’s about cementing a lead with a staggering market share and a dealer network that resembles a rocket in growth — boasting an eye-watering expansion of 8,200% this decade!

The Expanding Dealer Network: A Testament to Commitment

Starting with a humble beginning — just a single certified EV dealer in Fontana as of July 2021 — Volvo Trucks has sprouted an impressive 83 certified locations across 33 U.S. states and four Canadian provinces. Talk about a growth spurt! With four new dealer groups recently joining the program and a further 13 dealers in the certification pipeline, the future looks dazzling for our favorite Swedish truck manufacturer.

Leading the Charge in Sustainability

With this newfound network, Volvo Trucks claims a bold position in the global market. They’ve held onto over 30% of the North American electric truck segment for the last five years, like a pro golfer clutching a lead. Peter Voorhoeve, the president of Volvo Trucks North America, summarizes it best: “Reaching this milestone reflects our customers’ commitment to sustainable transportation and our dealers’ dedication to supporting them.” With over 700 battery-electric semi-trucks deployed and over 20 million zero-emission miles logged, Volvo Trucks is not merely riding the waves of sustainability; they are creating tidal waves of change. In fact, they’ve wiped out approximately 34,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions – that’s enough to put over 7,000 average cars out of commission!
