The Dawn of the Electric Bronco
Ford’s new electric Bronco is rolling off the assembly line in Nanchang, China, and it’s not waiting around for an invitation stateside. This all-terrain camping SUV just entered mass production, and with it, the dream of an electrified off-road beast is now a reality—just not for the good ol’ US of A.

What Makes the Electric Bronco Shine?
Standing proud as the 200,000th vehicle manufactured at the site, the Electric Bronco packs some serious power. With a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain delivering 445 horsepower, it’s not just pretty; it’s fierce. Top that with a hefty 105.4 kWh battery from BYD, and you’ve got a range that can stretch about 650 km (that’s about 404 miles) without breaking a sweat—or stopping for a snack.

Custom-Tailored for the Chinese Market
Now, before you start pouting over your potential Bronco, let’s talk interior. Tailored for Chinese buyers, this electric wonder includes a 7.5L built-in refrigerator and a dazzling 15.6” infotainment system. And if you like your head-up display big, Ford has an optional 70” version—perfect for those who want every detail without squinting.
While America is left dreaming of this eco-friendly monster, the Electric Bronco is set for a pre-sale adventure starting at RMB 229,800 (approximately $32,300). Ford’s foray into electric SUVs is causing quite a stir—unfortunately, only for those across the pond. Who knew a sporty SUV could fuel such FOMO? Perhaps one day, American drivers will join in on the fun. Until then, we’ll keep wishing.
