If you own a Yamaha R-series and have ever wondered what it feels like to be treated like a factory rider—even just for a moment—this is the kind of opportunity you don’t bookmark for “later.”

For owners of Yamaha’s R-series sports bikes, June is shaping up to be something special. The Yamaha Racing Experience is heading to Misano World Circuit on June 18–19, inviting a limited number of riders to experience two full days of track riding alongside genuine world-class racers.

Open to owners of the R1M, R1, R9, R7, R6 and their track-only GYTR counterparts, the event isn’t just another track day with branding slapped on. At €499 for two days, it promises something far rarer: access. Real race engineers in pit lane. A professional circuit shared with Yamaha’s top international riders. The kind of environment most enthusiasts only ever see on TV.

Already confirmed are World Superbike names like Andrea Locatelli and Xavi Vierge, alongside Remy Gardner and Stefano Manzi. Add endurance racing expertise from the YART team, and the paddock suddenly feels very close to a factory race weekend.

Beyond the riding, the event leans heavily into heritage and inspiration. Legends like Valentino Rossi have attended past editions, while icons such as Giacomo Agostini and Luca Cadalora help bridge Yamaha’s past and present.

My take: Events like this matter because they blur the line between fan and factory. Yamaha isn’t just selling performance—they’re offering belonging. And in a world where bikes are increasingly digital and distant, that human, track-side connection might be the most powerful upgrade of all.
