QJMotor continue their aggressive UK expansion with the new SRK 921, a £8,699 naked bike (plus £300 OTR) that aims squarely at the middleweight super-naked class. On paper, it’s the brand’s most serious UK contender yet.

At its heart sits a 921cc inline-four producing a claimed 127bhp and 68.6lb.ft of torque — strong numbers that place it directly in the territory of established players like the Kawasaki Z900 and Yamaha MT-09. Unlike the torque-rich triple of the Yamaha, the SRK 921 sticks with classic four-cylinder character — smoother at high revs, more traditional in feel.

Where QJMotor really turns up the heat is equipment. Fully adjustable Marzocchi suspension, Brembo brakes, a six-axis IMU with cornering ABS and traction control, plus heated grips, heated seat, tyre pressure monitoring and even a built-in dashcam — all as standard. That level of kit at this price undercuts rivals by several hundred pounds.

Against the Triumph Street Triple 765 R, the QJ offers more outright power and more standard tech for less money. However, Triumph still holds an advantage in chassis finesse and brand prestige. Similarly, the Z900 may cost slightly more, but benefits from a proven reliability record and strong dealer network.

For UK and broader European roads, the SRK 921 looks well suited. Its upright ergonomics and heated comforts make sense for Britain’s unpredictable weather, while fully adjustable suspension should help tackle uneven B-roads. The inline-four engine may feel slightly less punchy at low revs compared to triples, but it should reward riders who enjoy revving through sweeping countryside sections.

My view? The SRK 921 isn’t just a budget alternative — it’s a serious value disruptor. If build quality and long-term reliability match the spec sheet, QJMotor could shake up the established middleweight hierarchy in the UK.
