The KB998 Rimini: A Game Changer in Superbike Racing

Bimota has recently created quite a buzz in the motorcycle community with the announcement of a price drop for their highly anticipated KB998 Rimini. Set to arrive in showrooms across Europe and Asia from April 9, this bike is already turning heads at a hefty price of £37,777 for UK customers. Initially unveiled at the 2024 EICMA trade show, the Rimini is a homologation special that serves as the foundation for the WorldSBK race bikes driven by racing pros Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani.

Hand-Built Excellence

What sets the KB998 Rimini apart is its craftsmanship. Each motorcycle is hand-built in Bimota’s Rimini workshop by a single technician, ensuring meticulous attention to detail from start to finish. This isn’t just a bike; it’s a labor of love that promises an unparalleled riding experience.

Power and Performance That Impress

At the heart of the KB998 Rimini lies Kawasaki’s powerful ZX-10RR engine, delivering an impressive 197bhp at 13,600 rpm and 82 lb-ft of torque at 11,700 rpm. With a weight of just 194kg (without fuel), this bike offers an exhilarating power-to-weight ratio. While the Rimini features a road-legal Akrapovič exhaust silencer, it retains the all-important components of the 998cc liquid-cooled, inline-four motor. Moreover, it brings along an advanced wheel, brake, and electronics package directly from Kawasaki’s superbike, offering cornering ABS, traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter, and even cruise control.
