Race Highlights and Performance

During the two-lap race, Dunlop recorded an astonishing lap time of 122.006 mph from a standing start. By the end of lap one, he had already opened a 10.765-second lead over his closest rival, Michael Evans. As the second lap progressed, Dunlop’s advantage soared, reaching 22.673 seconds by the time he crossed the finish line, thereby securing yet another victory. This win not only adds to his impressive tally but also pushes him ahead of John McGuinness in terms of TT podium finishes.

A Day of Firsts

For Michael Evans, the day was particularly special, as it marked his first-ever podium finish at the Isle of Man TT, coinciding with his 32nd birthday. Additionally, Rob Hodson celebrated his maiden podium in third place. The race also saw competitive performances from other riders, with Paul Jordan, this year’s North West 200 SuperTwin race winner, finishing fourth. Following closely were Davey Todd in fifth place and several notable riders completing the top ten.

Dunlop’s performance in the SuperTwin race complements his earlier success in the Supersport category, further proving that he remains a formidable force in the TT racing world.
