- A can or bottle of bug and tar remover or rubbing alcohol
- A bucket of water and sponge or wash mitt
- Spray wax or a quick detailer polish

Step-by-Step Guide to Remove Tree Sap
Follow these steps to effectively eliminate tree sap from your car:
- First, wash and dry your vehicle, ensuring you have a clean surface to work with.
- Identify the sap spot and apply a few drops of your chosen remover solution on a clean cloth. Turtle Wax’s bug and tar remover is an excellent option.
- Place the cloth over the sap and let it rest for at least 30 seconds to soften the residue.
- Rub the area gently until the sap begins to lift. Repeating this process may be necessary for stubborn spots.
- If residue remains, you can use your fingernail to scratch gently at the sap without damaging the paint.
- Once clear, apply quick wax to the cleaned area, polishing with a detailing cloth for a shiny finish.
For sap on windows, follow the same procedure but conclude with a glass-cleaning product instead of quick wax.
