Pricing and specifications will be announced closer to the release dates.

What’s New With the 2026 Outlander?

The 2026 Outlander will feature a new turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine, paired with a mild-hybrid system and shared with the Eclipse Cross. This setup replaces the current 2.5-liter engine, providing improved acceleration thanks to additional torque from the hybrid assist. The Outlander Sport will continue from 2025 into 2026 with only minor changes.

Two new trims will join the Outlander lineup: the LE trim, positioned between the entry-level ES and SE, and a premium SEL Black Edition. Additionally, the performance-oriented Ralliart model will make its return.

2026 Outlander PHEV Updates

The Outlander PHEV will receive a mid-cycle refresh first seen on the 2025 gasoline model. Enhancements include better sound insulation, updated materials and color options, heated and ventilated front seats, a redesigned center console, new cupholders, and an upgraded phone charger. Exterior updates include a redesigned front bumper, new 20-inch wheels, and smoked taillights.

The PHEV’s powertrain gains a larger-capacity drive battery, boosting all-electric range and reducing internal-combustion engine use. Suspension tuning, including dampers, springs, and stabilizer bars, has also been revised to improve driving dynamics.

Eclipse Cross Updates

For 2026, the Eclipse Cross receives minor revisions. Built-in navigation has been removed, while Eclipse Cross badging is now featured on SEL and SEL Touring trims. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain standard across all trims.
