A Classic Icon in Electric Form
Ford is revamping its popular electric crossover SUV with the unveiling of the 2026 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT California Special. For the first time, the classic Mustang style has been adapted for this electric marvel. The Mach-E has quickly become a favorite among EV enthusiasts in the US, so it’s exciting to see Ford adding a unique touch to this already impressive vehicle.

A Nod to California’s Spirit
As Kristen Keenan, Ford’s color and material designer, noted, “There is something about the idea of the California spirit that has always been associated with the Mustang brand.” This new style package draws inspiration from its roots, which began in 1968 when California dealers desired their piece of the Mustang success story. With over 4,000 of the original California Specials sold, it’s clear this upgrade is not just a nostalgic nod but a celebration of the Mustang lineage.

Fresh Features for the Electric Revolution
The 2026 Mustang Mach-E GT California Special sports a stunning new rave blue color scheme, making it stand out even more. Additionally, it features 20” carbonized gray wheels, an illuminated rave blue pony emblem, and a hood graphic inspired by California’s beautiful coastline. Inside, the performance seats and striking blue and silver detailing set a new standard for electric SUVs. With impressive specs of 280 miles of range, 480 horsepower, and up to 700 lb-ft of torque, this model keeps up with the performance legacy of the Mustang while embracing innovation.
