What’s Happening to the SV650?

Hold onto your helmets, folks! Suzuki’s legendary SV650 naked roadster is bidding us farewell in 2026. However, don’t start crying just yet—its heart, a dependable 645cc 90-degree v-twin engine, is transitioning into a new era as the fabulous SV-7GX sports touring middleweight. Prices may still be under wraps, but rumors suggest a power-packed 72.4bhp at 8500rpm and a delightful 47.2lb.ft of torque at 6800rpm!

What’s New in the SV-7GX?

This shiny new model could even hint at a Euro5-friendly SV650 naked returning to the market. The SV-7GX is all dressed up to take on the Yamaha Tracer 7 and Kawasaki Versys 650. Picture this: road-focused 17in rims, a slick ride-by-wire throttle, and a plethora of ride modes, traction control, and an up/down quickshifter will make you feel like a pro each time you hit the road.

Long Live the SV!

Since its debut in 1999, over 500,000 bikes with versions of this engine have been cruising around, showcasing rock-solid reliability. The SV’s v-twin layout is a rarity in a half-liter world dominated by parallel twins. Plus, ‘low rpm assist’ will save you from potential stalling, making every twist of the throttle a thrill. With a chic redesign featuring LED headlights, TFT displays, and mobile connectivity, the SV-7GX is set to rewrite history while pampering your riding experience like never before!
