Introducing the Langen Lightspeed

Hold onto your helmets, folks! The British motorcycle manufacturer Langen has just unveiled their production-ready Lightspeed muscle cruiser, and it’s as impressive as a double espresso on a Monday morning. Starting at a base price of £44,400, these beauties will hit the roads mid-next year, and trust us, your wallet will be left feeling a bit lighter.

What Makes the Lightspeed So Special?

As founder and CEO Christofer Ratcliffe put it, the Lightspeed is the culmination of everything they’ve learned since the dawn of Langen. Think more power, more range, but still keeping that heart-thumping emotion that defines a Langen ride. This motorized marvel was first glimpsed as a pre-production prototype in 2023, but mark the date—it’ll make its grand debut at the Motorcycle Live show in Birmingham from November 15-23.

Performance That’s Hard to Ignore

Underneath its dashing carbon-fibre bodywork lies a Rotax-developed, Buell-built 1190cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine that delivers a jaw-dropping 182.5bhp at 10,600rpm and a hefty torque of 101.8lb.ft at 8200rpm. It’s like Langen looked at mainstream rivals like the Ducati Diavel V4 and thought, “Challenge accepted!” With a dry weight of only 185kg and the technology crammed into the CNC-machined dash—including traction control and wheelie control—you know the Lightspeed is something special. Only 185 units will be produced, so make sure to get your £1,000 deposit in fast!
