The Long-awaited Arrival of the Cheapest Tesla Cybertruck

The buzz surrounding Tesla has reached a new crescendo with the introduction of the cheapest Tesla Cybertruck, which has rolled into the U.S. market with a $10,000 lower price tag. The eagerly anticipated Cybertruck Long Range starts at a competitively priced ,990 before taxes and destination charges. Interestingly, this figure is a substantial dip from the all-wheel drive (AWD) version, which offers dual motors.

Specifications of the New Entry-Level Cybertruck

This new entry-level electric pickup is powered by a single rear-mounted motor, boosting its estimated driving range to an impressive 350 miles. Add a soft tonneau cover, and you stretch that to 362 miles. But, as they say, every rose has its thorn—this lower price point does come with notable downgrades. The towing capacity is reduced to 7,500 pounds, a far cry from the 11,000 pounds of the AWD variant.

Comparing Your Options: The Upsides and Downsides

While the entry-level model is appealing for its price, it lacks several luxurious features found in its pricier counterparts, including an adaptive air suspension and a more premium audio system. The Cybertruck Long Range settles for a modest seven-speaker system, while the other variants boast a more robust 15-speaker option. Modern adventurers might be disappointed that this model does not feature any household outlets, limiting its versatility.

With a non-refundable order fee of $250 and a destination fee of $1,995, the effective price hovers around $72,235. However, it’s not all doom and gloom—buyers may qualify for a ,500 federal tax credit. If you play your cards right, the final price could drop to a sweet ,735. Who knew entry-level shopping could feel this good?
