However, it may be disappointing for American consumers to learn that these innovative small EVs will not make their way across the Atlantic. Volkswagen’s decision to refrain from introducing the larger ID. 3 into the U.S. market set a precedent that continues with the ID. 2all and ID. Every1. As more focus shifts towards SUVs and crossovers, the choices seem limited, with only the Jetta and GTI maintaining a sedan presence in the lineup.

During a roundtable discussion at the New York Auto Show, he confirmed the company’s reasoning behind the unavailability of the ID. 7 in the U.S. market—fears of insufficient demand.
