Light Updates to the Versys 650
Kawasaki has announced light updates to their dependable, long-legged Versys 650 tourer. These new models are set to arrive in dealerships from mid-August, featuring a modest price rise of £150, bringing the base spec to £8049. This update once again showcases Kawasaki’s commitment to providing reliable touring options for motorcycle enthusiasts.

Powerful Performance and Euro5 Compliance
At the heart of the Versys 650 is the firm’s popular 649cc parallel-twin engine. This engine is also used in the Ninja 650, Z650, and Vulcan models, delivering a robust performance while meeting the latest Euro5 regulations. With a claimed power output of 66.1bhp at 8500rpm, this motorcycle can be restricted for A2 licence holders, making it an accessible choice for a wider audience.
A Modern Ride with New Features
The updated Versys 650 boasts modern features, including a full-colour 4.3-inch TFT display that enables connectivity with mobile phones. Riders can also choose from ‘tourer’ or ‘grand tourer’ configurations, tailoring their experience to suit different riding styles. Additionally, the new range of colors offers options such as black, silver, and dark blue, appealing to diverse aesthetic preferences.
This announcement follows the prominent role of the larger four-cylinder Versys 1100 as the official motorcycle for the Tour de France, showcasing Kawasaki’s strong presence in both sporting and touring domains.
