Kia’s Electric Momentum in Europe
As Europe embraces the shift towards electric mobility, Kia is at the forefront with its impressive lineup of electric vehicles (EVs). Their latest model, the EV3, has taken Europe by storm, becoming the best-selling retail electric vehicle in the UK just months after its launch. With nearly 6,300 registrations already, it’s clear that the demand for electric SUVs is soaring.

The Exciting New Models on the Horizon
Kia isn’t stopping at the EV3. In a rapid expansion of its electric offering, they’ve announced the upcoming EV4 and EV5 models. The EV4 hatchback, which will enter production at Kia’s plant in Slovakia, is set to start deliveries in September. Initially reserved for Europe, it boasts an impressive driving range of up to 330 miles and will feature a NACS port for charging at Tesla superchargers, enhancing its appeal to EV enthusiasts.

A Glimpse into the Future: What’s Next for Kia?
Beyond the EV4, Kia has also spotlighted the EV5 – an EV that rivals Tesla’s Model Y in size and functionality. While the EV5 will launch in Canada by early 2026, it is predominantly aimed at the European market, further solidifying Kia’s commitment to electric innovation overseas. Meanwhile, smaller models like the EV2 are set to expand Kia’s reach to entry-level consumers. While the US market appears to be playing catch-up, it seems Europe will continue leading the electric vehicle race for now.
