Volvo’s Upcoming EX60 Reveal
Mark your calendars for January 21st, as Volvo is all set to unveil its much-anticipated EX60 electric SUV! This new model is poised to join, and eventually replace, the XC60 in Volvo’s lineup. Positioned between the miniature EX30 and the spacious three-row EX90, the EX60 promises to be an exciting mid-sized electric option for consumers.

Impressive Range and Battery Technology
One of the standout features of the EX60 is its impressive range. Volvo has hinted that this SUV will boast more range than any other currently available Volvo EV, exceeding the excellent 310 EPA miles and 364 WLTP miles of the EX90. Speculation suggests that the EX60 may incorporate the same 100kWh battery as the EX90, making this an impressive addition to the EV segment.
Groundbreaking Features and Design
Production for the EX60 is set to kick off in the first half of 2026 at Volvo’s Torslanda plant in Gothenburg. Volvo proudly calls it the ‘first fully electric car in the premium mid-size SUV segment.’ Equipped with a structural battery pack and innovative megacasted underfloor, future owners can expect enhanced space and reduced weight, taking a page from the designs of Tesla and others.
The design hints at familiar Volvo aesthetics, with ‘Hammer of Thor’ headlights and stylish tail cues reminiscent of the XC30 and XC90. Coupled with a ‘groundbreaking user experience,’ the EX60 is poised to be a game-changer for Volvo and the mid-sized EV market.
