Electric Dreams Just Got Real
Hold onto your steering wheels, Porsche fans! In a plot twist that could power an electric vehicle itself, Porsche has officially announced a monumental upgrade for its electric vehicle (EV) owners: starting September 9th, access to Tesla’s colossal 23,500-strong supercharger network is now at your fingertips. That’s right, folks! You can now plug into those oh-so-fancy charging stations using a Porsche-supplied NACS DC adapter. Consider this your VIP pass to fast-charging paradise.

The Soft Launch That Roars
This rollout is kicking off with a soft launch via the Tesla app, but fear not, Porsche aficionados! Their own My Porsche app is primed to join the charging party in the coming months. So, whether you’ve got a 2025 Taycan with a free adapter or are clutching an older Porsche EV, help is on the way! Yes, you may have to fork over 5 for that adapter if your car is older, but how many times can you say you plugged into the most widespread charging network while grinning from ear to ear?
A Future of Connectivity
Looking ahead, Porsche is planting its flag firmly in the electric future. Starting with model year 2026, every new Taycan and Macan electric will roll off the production line equipped with the coveted NACS DC adapter—at no extra charge, mind you! And if you’re an early adopter stuck with a 2025 model, Porsche has got your back with a complimentary adapter.
By the end of the year, their charger-finding app will be updated to include Tesla’s supercharger locations, making the life of a Porsche EV driver infinitely less stressful. Finally, no more frantic searches for charging stations; you can focus on the journey ahead, and perhaps grab a latte while your car supercharges in style!
