Cadillac’s upcoming electric vehicle lineup ditches the alphanumeric naming convention the brand has used for the last couple of decades in favor of made up words ending in “iq.” But one three-letter abbreviation is still getting a lot of use as Cadillac teases its next-generation vehicles: TBA. The latest vehicle the brand has announced is the 2026 Vistiq, a three-row SUV that size-wise will fit between the existing Lyriq and upcoming 2025 Escalade IQ.

Those facts and the photos Cadillac released suggest the Vistiq will be close in size to the current XT6. Visible on the rear hatch is a 600 E4 badge that suggests near-future electric Cadillacs will at least hold onto one unclear alphanumeric labeling practice that describes approximate torque output rounded to the nearest 50 newton-meters. (Newton-meters are the metric unit for torque.) Today, Cadillac fits the 600 E4 badge to Lyriqs with electric motors front and rear that grant them all-wheel drive; AWD Lyriqs come with 500 horsepower and 450 pounds-feet of torque — or 610 newton-meters (which gets rounded down to 600).

Further information and critical specifications like battery capacity and range will be revealed in 2024, but the Vistiq may not actually go on sale until the 2026 model year. Cadillac already has the Escalade IQ, as well as the previously announced 2025 Optiq, queued up. Added to the Lyriq and the limited-production Celestiq, the Vistiq will give the brand five EVs, which John Roth, vice president of Global Cadillac, says “will cover most luxury SUV segments across critical global markets in the next two years.”
