Honda’s CR-V Hybrid SUV, which just got a recall for a missing fuse for its 12-volt battery cable. More than 106,000 vehicles are affected.
Specifically, model-year 2020-22 CR-V Hybrids are affected. The 12-volt battery cable routed outside of the body frame may be missing a fuse on the power circuit, which can allow the battery cable to short circuit or overheat during a crash. This can increase the risk of a fire or injury.

To resolve the issue, dealers will replace the battery cable for free. Honda will begin notifying owners Jan. 29, 2024, but those with further questions in the meantime can call the automaker at 888-234-2138 (Honda’s abbreviation for this recall is FGB), the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
